MIIMETIQ® EDGE controlled Cycle Time Diagnostics leads to Automated Predictive Maintenance

Today, 25th April 2017, at the HANNOVER MESSE: This is Peter Bachl, of NEXIONA, discussing how MIIMETIQ® EDGE is used for Cycle Time Diagnostics in the Industrial Plastic Injection Molding Process. MIIMETIQ® EDGE monitors all parameters of the machine (via the Beckhoff PLC), looking for out of range readings during a typical cycle. When this happens MIIMETIQ® EDGE sends all data from all sensors, within the faulty ten minute cycle, to the IBM WATSON IoT PLATFORM for further analysis. By comparison to a complete set of data from a controlled ten minute cycle, IBM Watson is able to form a picture of the lead up to problems and feedback controls, via MIIMETIQ® LITE, to prevent future cycle anomalies.
